Brownie Bouquet

I love Wilton Icing Flowers....I made this bouquet with small brownies that I frosted and then topped with Wilton Icing roses.......I placed them on a skewer and then put them in a vase filled with jelly beans. The jelly beans help to secure the vase and keep the skewers in place. I used mint as the 'greenery'.....I am trying to think of some fun new green treats for March......!

The Wizard of Oz

I can not believe that tomorrow is the last day of February! We started talking about all of the fun things to do in March with St Pat's day...with rainbows, gold etc....and we decided that it would be fun to create a Wizard of Oz Scene...........
Dorothy and the witch are Topsy Turvy dolls and we made the yellow brick road out of jelly beans.....
Here is Dorothy's house that landed on the wicked Witch of the East...(we made her legs out of marshmallow poles and her ruby slippers out of gum drops and the heels are candy corns)......
Here is the flip side to the Topsy Turvy dolls.........

lollipop Party

If you sprinkle these magic sprinkle seeds and wait an hour....you just might................................
..............................Grow a lollipop garden!! This is a really fun activity to do at a party (have some one sneak out and plant the pops while the kids are busy with party activities)...they get so excited and love picking the lollipops!

The kids made their own lollipops with marshmallow poles by coiling them and placing on a wooden skewer.

Happy 50th Birthday Barbie!

I have been meaning to do a little tribute to Barbie in our house....this year was her 50th Birthday....you may have seen her in Vogue, Forbes or on the runway....she was everywhere this year! The 50th anniversary Barbie 'then and now' is so cute....if you want one you should hurry....she turns 51 next month!

Spring Dream

I am already dreaming of spring....these are photos of our Easter eggs last year and the farm scene that we created.
We made baby chicks, baby blue birds and carrots and we set them up in a farm scene.

I may need to do another farm theme with our eggs this year...the kids loved this!

Daisy Crazy

I have been collecting daisy table settings since last spring....I am usually not drawn to daisies...but I keep finding daisy decorations that just scream spring!

Daisy paper flowers.............................

Daisy cup cake toppers and daisy icing flowers.........
Daisy garland..................
I even found daisy ribbon...I have officially gone daisy crazy!

Ballerina Party

Ballerina puppet party favors............

Tutus hanging on a ballet bar ready to be worn......and then the bar is available for practice......
Ballet position mat and dvd come in handy if you do not have a 'real' ballerina available......

Our pretend ice sculpture....I placed a glass ballerina on an ice Block that held pink popsicles.....
TuTu cupcakes.....I weaved tule through the cake stand to create a tutu and then made tutu cup cake toppers by gluing tule on pre-cut dresses. I then sprinkled the cup cakes with pearl candied sprinkles.

Ballet shoe cookies.............

This is the ballerina Topsy Turvy doll (Practice Makes Perfect by North American Bear Co)....so cute and the kids love playing with these dolls....
