Mother's Day Treats

I made this bouquet of chocolate covered strawberries for one of my 'Mommy' friends who deserves a special treat for being such a great mom! I put candy in the bottom of the vase to anchor it down and then filled the vase with edible/candy grass. I placed the strawberries on skewers and then dipped them in melted chocolate topped with flower shaped sprinkles.

Here is a fruit bouquet that I made last spring.........I used flower cookie cutters to make the flowers and then used fresh mint as greenery..............a healthier choice for those moms who may be cutting back on sugar or who are allergic to chocolate like my Mama!

For The Birds

I love this time of year....the birds are everywhere in the garden!
I found these beautiful bird prints with various names of birds....and we have all ready been able to identify a few that hang out in our trees!
The houses are full of seeds and we are ready to do some bird watching.........I just hope we do not get too many...they get really loud in the morning and this mama is not an early bird!

More Flower Cakes

Ok, so these were sooo much easier than my last attempt at flower cakes! I cut marshmallows in half and sprinkled them with colored sugar and then placed a gum drop in the middle of the 'flower'...easy right?? This would make a great teacher...or Mothers day gift!!

Sock Puppets

It is finally sandal season!! This is the perfect time of year to find all of the lonely socks that lost their mate during the winter.....and make sock puppets! We also like making sock puppets out of the very fun bright socks that just do not match any outfits..........Happy Puppet making!

Last Minute Teacher Appreciation Gifts

I made these desk pots for my daughter's preschool teachers in celebration of teacher appreciation week. I found calendars and 'to do' lists/note pads and then glued silk flowers on the top of pencils. I thought the pots would make a cute storage container on their desk and also add some spring decoration to the classroom!
