We watched the movie 'up' yesterday and decided to try and float a house. I went to michaels and purchased a small wooden bird house that we painted. We predicted how many balloons it would take to lift our house....it ended up only taking twelve balloons and we had to drop a dime in the house to get it to hover.....this is such a cute movie and fun activity for the kids!
Fun idea-- we love this movie. Everytime we are in Oakland/Berkeley area we have to to to Fenton's for ice cream. I guess we could just go to the one in Vacaville.
