April Fools

This is a fun April Fools prank for the kids...I tell them we are having Sushi and then serve this........:Cake cut up in small circles, frost and then wrap a fruit roll up around the cake to look like ' sea weed'. Place coconut on the top of the cakes to look like rice and then top with various 'fish' candy...so fun!!

Bunny Cake

We frosted a pound cake and added coconut for the 'fur'. We used marshmallows for the ears and feet and candy for the eyes and nose....very simple project (no baking required)!

Chocolate Eggs

Peanut butter balls (shaped into eggs) dipped in chocolate.........

Spring is such a great time of year to picnic.......... food just tastes so much better with a beautiful view!

Farm animal Eggs

We created a farm scene with our Easter eggs last year http://pretendpartyandplay.blogspot.com/2010/02/spring-dream.html and decided to try and make some more farm animals. We coiled pipe cleaners around the eggs and small pieces of felt for the eyes, noses and mouthes. We used plastic eggs so they would be light enough to prop up to stand---this was a lot of fun!! o

Marshmallow Easter Treats

We made a marshmallow Easter house!

Marshmallows dipped in sprinkles and we made some chocolate covered pretzels too!

Mama is back from the Bahamas.....I have so many ideas for Easter and so little time......I need to get moving!!

Leprechauns

Leprechaun hats made out of frosted rice crispy treats and gum drops...........
Do the Leprechauns visit your house each year??
We always know they have been here because they leave treats and scatter new green toys and surprises all around the house......................
They run around so fast that they always forget some of their little green hats....each year we leave their hats out on St.. Pat's and wake up to find that they are gone...tricky little guys!

Cupcake Toppers

It finally dawned on me that anything can be a cupcake topper! I was always on the hunt for the perfect toppers..........I have completed eight scrap books for my kiddos and am moving on to digital books that I order online........I have been wondering what to do with all of my scrap book embellishments........they make perfect toppers!!

I am also working on some 3d embellishments similar to these..... I want to try out on ETSY...I am working on a mermaid and hula dancer so far......we will see how that goes!

Alice in Wonderland
